How Stripes works

Digital goods, paid in ZEC. Every listing gets its own coin on Solana.

The short version

Find something good. Pay in ZEC. Get it through escrow.

Every published listing launches its own coin. Hold that coin and the listing gets cheaper for you. Hold any of them with a linked wallet and you get a cut of the ZEC rewards pool every 20 minutes.

Buying

Pay from your ZEC balance. The money waits in escrow until you have the product.

  1. Deposit ZEC. Send ZEC to the deposit address on the wallet page from any Zcash wallet. It's credited after 10 confirmations, about 13 minutes.
  2. Buy. Your ZEC moves from your balance into escrow. If you hold enough of the listing's coin, the holder price is applied at checkout.
  3. The seller delivers. They upload the file, or a screenshot as proof of delivery, on your order page.
  4. Confirm, or wait 10 minutes. Confirm receipt to pay the seller right away. If you don't, escrow releases on its own 10 minutes after delivery.
  5. Something wrong? Open a dispute. Do it any time before the payment releases, including when the seller never delivers. The admin settles it: a refund to you, a release to the seller, or a split. Refunds go back to your balance.

Selling

List for free. Keep every zatoshi.

Add a title, a description, an image, a price in ZEC and how many you have. Anyone can sell, and there is no listing fee and no sales fee.

Publishing a listing launches its own coin on Solana, through pump.fun. Stripes pays the launch cost, and the listing goes live once the coin confirms. When an order comes in, upload the product (or a screenshot as proof) on the order page. The full price lands in your balance when the buyer confirms, or 10 minutes after delivery.

Change your stock any time. A sold-out listing comes back when you restock, with the same coin. You can't delete a listing, only end it, and ending it ends its holder price for good. Open your stall

Coins and holder prices

Hold a listing's coin and that listing gets cheaper.

Each listing has one coin, created by the Stripes wallet and traded only on pump.fun. You can browse them all on the coins page.

A seller can set a holder price: a percentage off for anyone holding at least a set number of the listing's tokens. Your linked wallet just has to hold that amount when you check out. There's no lockup and no waiting period. Holder prices work while the listing is Active or Sold out, and come back after a restock.

Holder prices only work while the listing is live. If the seller ends the listing, its discount ends for good, and the coin page shows the date it ended.

Verify a coin

Every real Stripes coin was created by one wallet. Anything else is not ours.

The Stripes creator wallet is 8jDAQ49dLBXCFKLMpvYGycp1eFpMNFqK67oABBTRCUyk ·Solscan

  1. Copy the coin's contract address. It's on the coin's page here, or on pump.fun. Every coin is listed on the coins page.
  2. Look up its creator. On pump.fun, open the coin and check who created it. On Solscan, search the contract address and check the token's creator.
  3. Compare it with the wallet above. If they match, it's a real listing coin. If not, it isn't ours, whatever its name or picture says.

Rewards

Hold any Stripes coin, get paid ZEC every 20 minutes.

The admin swaps 50% of claimed creator fees to ZEC and adds it to the rewards pool. Every 20 minutes, 1% of the pool is paid out. It's split by the SOL in each coin, then by how much of each coin you hold.

Only linked wallets get paid. Unlinked shares stay in the pool for later rounds. Rewards keep coming even after a listing ends. The rewards page has a worked example and an estimator.

Accounts

One random key. Nothing else.

Sign-up shows you a long random account key, once. That key is your login: no email, no username, no password. Other people see a generated handle such as amber_kite42, never your key.

There is no recovery. We only store a scrambled version of your key. If you lose it, the account and its balance are gone, so save it somewhere safe before you create an account.

Wallet

A ZEC balance on the site. Deposit, spend, withdraw.

Deposit to the address on the wallet page. Deposits are credited after 10 confirmations. Sales, holder rewards and refunds land in your balance instantly. Purchases move money into escrow, and your balance can never go below zero.

Withdrawals are automatic and go out in batches. The Zcash network fee comes out of the amount you withdraw. Use a unified or Sapling address if you want to receive it shielded.

Behind the scenes

What runs on its own while you shop.

  1. A Zcash worker, every minute. Our Zcash wallet runs on a private server with a small worker next to it. It credits deposits after 10 confirmations, sends withdrawals in batches, and pays holder rewards every 20 minutes. The wallet isn't reachable from the internet.
  2. An escrow timer in the database, every minute. A scheduled job runs inside our database and releases payment to the seller 10 minutes after delivery, unless the buyer opened a dispute. It keeps running even if the website is down.

FAQ

Does Stripes charge any fees?
No. Listing is free, and sellers get the full price of every sale. The only cost you'll ever see is the Zcash network fee on withdrawals, and that goes to the network, not to us.
Why Zcash?
Because what you buy is your business. Zcash can shield who paid, who got paid and how much, and an account here is a random key with no email or name attached. Pay from a shielded wallet for the most privacy.
Can I buy or sell coins on Stripes?
No. Coins trade only on pump.fun, with SOL, from your own Solana wallet. Stripes never trades, holds or looks after coins. Every coin page links straight to pump.fun.
How do I know a coin is a real Stripes coin?
Every listing coin is created by one published wallet. Check the coin's creator on Solscan or pump.fun against that address (here's how). If it doesn't match, it isn't ours.
What happens to a coin when its listing ends?
The coin keeps trading on pump.fun and keeps earning holder rewards. Its holder price ends for good, and the coin page shows the date it ended.
I lost my account key. Can you get it back?
No. We only store a scrambled version of your key, so nobody, including us, can recover it. Losing the key means losing the account and its balance.
Why link a Solana wallet?
Only for holder prices and rewards. Linking connects your Solana wallet to your Stripes account: you sign a message, and no funds move. A wallet can be linked to one account only.
How long does a deposit take?
Deposits are credited after 10 confirmations on the Zcash network, usually about 13 minutes. You can watch it confirm on your wallet page.
My withdrawal says pending. Is something wrong?
Probably not. A pending withdrawal is waiting for the next automatic batch or for funds to unlock. If an address turns out to be invalid, the amount goes back to your balance.
What if the product isn't what was promised?
Open a dispute on the order page before the 10-minute auto-release. The ZEC stays in escrow and the admin settles it: a full refund, a full release to the seller, or a split.
What if the seller never delivers?
Open a dispute on the order page while it's waiting for delivery. Your ZEC stays in escrow, and the admin can send it back to your balance.
Where does the reward ZEC come from?
From creator fees. The admin swaps 50% of claimed fees to ZEC and adds it to the rewards pool. Every top-up is listed on the transparency page.
Can I delete a listing?
You can end it. Ended listings can't be bought, and their holder prices end for good. The listing page and the coin stay up so holders can still find them.
