The shortest route from visitor to buyer.

  1. Save an account key. Create a key-only account. No email, no password, and the key is shown once.
  2. Add ZEC. Send ZEC to the deposit address on the wallet page. Your balance updates after 10 network confirmations, about 13 minutes.
  3. Pick a listing. Browse digital goods. Your payment sits in escrow until the seller delivers.

Your account

One private key is your sign-in.

Stripes gives you a random account key. Other people see a generated public handle, never the key, and there is no email or password to recover.

Save the key before you leave sign-up. If you lose it, you lose the account and its ZEC balance.

A Solana wallet is optional for buying and selling. Link one by signing a message if you want holder prices or a share of the ZEC rewards. Signing the link message doesn't move funds.

Payments and escrow

ZEC moves through a balance on Stripes.

Deposit ZEC to the address on the wallet page. Deposits are credited after 10 confirmations. Spend the balance on listings or withdraw it any time. The Zcash network fee comes out of a withdrawal.

At checkout, the price moves into escrow. The seller uploads the product or proof of delivery on the order page. Confirm receipt to release payment straight away. Otherwise it releases 10 minutes after delivery, unless you open a dispute first.

If the delivery is missing or wrong, open a dispute from the order page. An admin can refund the buyer, pay the seller, or split the escrow. Read the buying steps.

Selling

A stall costs nothing to open.

List a digital product with a title, image, description, ZEC price and stock. Listing is free, and sellers keep the full sale price. Buyers pay in ZEC.

Publishing also creates a coin for the listing on Solana, through pump.fun. Stripes pays the launch cost. When an order arrives, deliver through its order page. You can restock a sold-out listing; ending a listing ends its holder price for good.

Listing coins

A coin comes with every published listing.

Coins trade on pump.fun from a Solana wallet. Stripes shows them and checks holdings for holder prices, but coin trading never happens here. A seller can offer a discount to anyone holding a set amount of the listing's coin at checkout.

Verify a coin before you trade it. Every real Stripes listing coin has the same creator wallet:

Compare the creator address on pump.fun or Solscan with the one above. A matching name or picture proves nothing. Verification steps · Browse coins

Holder rewards

A linked wallet gets ZEC every 20 minutes.

The admin swaps 50% of claimed coin creator fees to ZEC and adds it to the rewards pool. Each round pays out 1% of the pool, weighted first by the SOL in each coin and then by token holdings. Shares for wallets that aren't linked stay in the pool.

Rewards keep coming after a listing ends, even though its holder price doesn't. See the worked example and live figures on the rewards page.

How Stripes runs

Two background jobs keep money moving without anyone pressing a button.

The Zcash worker. The Stripes Zcash wallet runs on a private server, next to a small worker program. The wallet has no public port: only the worker on the same server can talk to it. The website never touches the wallet directly; the two only meet through the database.

Every minute the worker:

  • checks for incoming deposits and credits each one exactly once, after 10 confirmations;
  • sends queued withdrawals in one batch, with the network fee split between them;
  • reports the wallet balance to the admin dashboard.

Every 20 minutes it also reads who holds each listing coin on Solana and pays that round's holder rewards.

The escrow timer. A scheduled job runs inside the Stripes database every minute. It releases escrow to the seller for every order delivered more than 10 minutes ago without a dispute. Orders in dispute are never touched; only an admin settles those.

Because the timer lives inside the database, releases happen on time even if the website or the wallet server is down. Every balance change is recorded in a ledger that can never go below zero.
